ABOUT US

verseAI was founded in 2016 to bring to the world the next generation systems you always see in the movies.  Our ability to manage massive amounts of data along with 3D visualization and a natural language interface is designed to help industries solve the most complex problems with a combination of expert systems paired with Analytics & AI.  Our previous commercial success with Rational Systems, which is used for mission critical scheduling and logistics for approximately 10% of the US interstate pipeline grid, has enabled verseAI to be a self-funded start-up.

Kapadia

Mr. Viren Kapadia is the Founder and CEO of verseAI.  Mr. Viren Kapadia has been a serial entrepreneur since 1997.  Mr. Kapadia founded verseAI in 2016 to bring together big data, machine learning and expert systems along  with next generation interactive voice and 3D visualization to create the system that you have always seen in the movies.  Mr. Kapadia is also the founder and CEO of Venaryi which is actively creating the next generation of personal protective equipment with industry leaders from healthcare and technology sectors.  From  2000 to 2015, Viren founded and was CEO of Rational Systems which managed scheduling, logistics and commercial activities for approximately 10% of the US natural gas grid and was subsequently transitioned to our Fortune 500 customers in 2015.  In 1997, Mr. Kapadia founded Dunti Corporation to develop next generation optical networking backbone equipment which was wound down with the telecom crash of 2000.  Prior to beginning his entrepreneurial career, Viren worked as an engineer, analyst and commodities trader in the energy industry.  He has received his Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University along with a Masters in Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas.

Mike Bullington

Mr. Bullington develops new markets, oversees execution of software development, provides business consulting to key corporate clients and assists the CEO in leading company personnel into new product development. He has over 40 years of industry experience in engineering & construction, energy and corporate finance. This experience comprises a career managing petrochemical and refinery construction projects, building an oil and gas strategic consulting business, financing electric power projects and leading corporate finance teams on both the buy and sell side of Wall Street. Mr. Bullington was the transaction advisor to a large non-profit Houston hospital engaged in a $2 billion merger with another hospital system.  He participated in closing the first cross-border power plant sale/leaseback of $1.3 billion in The Netherlands. He also acted as lead investor to a consortium of institutional investors in structuring and negotiating the creation of a $300 million all-equity offshore company owning 51% joint venture interests in infrastructure projects in China.  Prior to this, Mr. Bullington was at the Prudential Insurance Company of America where he invested over $1 billion in 21 project and corporate finance transactions.  While at The Prudential, he was appointed by the CEO to manage the largest MBA new-hire training group in company history. Mr. Bullington has been the General Partner in several hedge funds and led an initial public offering as the chief financial officer of a global company. He holds an M.B.A. from Rice University and a B.S. from Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Marc
Zenner

Dr. Marc Zenner has been a senior advisor at verseAI since September 2017.   In this role, Marc advises verseAI’s senior management on financing, product strategy, client acquisition, and partnerships. Marc currently advises companies in the energy and technology space, and serves as director of OneSpan (OSPN) and InnerWorkings (INWK) and as a senior advisor to Persefoni.  Marc served on the board of Sentinel Energy (STNL) a blank check Company focused on the Oil Field Services sector from 2017 to 2019.   From 2007 to 2017 he was Global Co-Head of Corporate Finance Advisory at J.P. Morgan and from 2000 to 2007, Marc was Global Head of the Financial Strategy Group at Citi.  In these roles Marc advised major global corporations across many geographies and industries, with an emphasis on energy, technology, industrial, consumer, and retail companies.  He was involved in numerous M&A and financing transactions. From 1989 to 2000 Marc was the Chairman of the Finance and Economics Area and an award-winning Professor of Finance at The University of North Carolina’s Kenan Flagler Business School.  Marc was born in Brussels.  Marc is a Fulbright Scholar and a British Council Fellow.  He earned B.Sc. degrees in commercial engineering (1985) and education at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (1986), an MBA at the City University in London (1986), and a Ph.D. in financial economics at Purdue University (1989).
